What is the latest version of SQL?

Hello friends,

Thanks for yours good question, we have good new. It seems Microsoft released CTP two to close audience (MVPs) and soon after released CTP three to and made available to everything last week, which is 12th of July 2011 and this was done rather in a short period of time and we seem to have all features that were promised to us in CTP3 so I don’t think there is anything stopping Microsoft to release SQL Server codename Denali as SQL Server 2011.

before that, it was SQL-99

Officialy latest version SQL 2008 SP2
Delphi still in testing
before that it was SQL 2005 and SQL 2000

I’m pretty sure the OP is asking about the Language SQL (the latest of which is SQL-2003 like Rudy said), not about the product MS SQL (of which the latest version is … well I don’t really care what the latest version of that is) or any other product that happens to have “SQL” in it’s name (PostgreSQL, HeidiSQL, SQLYog, etc, etc) :slight_smile:

SQL 2008 is the latest SQL standard. SQL 2003 is obsolete.
