Great list

It would be nice to know what the 15 most popular bookmarking sites are in order.

According to Seomoz, here are 20 most popular social media sites. ā€œThe sites are listed in a rough order of usefulnessā€:

  1. Dig g
  2. Del.icio.us
  3. Reddit
  4. Technorati
  5. Squidoo
  6. Netscape
  7. LinkedIn
  8. Newsvine
  9. Wikipedia
  10. Ma.gnolia
  11. StumbleUpon
  12. Shoutwire
  13. Facebook
  14. 43 Things
  15. YourElevatorPitch
  16. Flickr
  17. WikiHow
  18. BlueDot
  19. StyleHive
  20. JotSpot

Yet the experince will differ with each niche. They say Dig g users are very young and tend to spam with foolish comments, while Reddit members (though they are much fewer) ā€œare older and smarter than Dig gā€™s.ā€

Heres some more with some explaniations

Seems like everyone has done alot of work finding the sites. Now all we need is list of the easiest ones to get traffic from and keep getting traffic.

I liked technorati but they seem to not be updating alot and i have had tags disappear from my blogs.

This is great stuff, I just have a question about 43things.comā€¦ how does this site work? I have been trying to find somethings and it has nothing of what I wanted. On wikipedia, it says that it has a million members but it is full of nothing useful.

Travel News 2.0 for all travel related news and media!

I was just wondering if Google owned any of these social networking sites.

Two more (social networking) to come:

SocialStream (by Google)
mosh.yahoo.com (by Yahoo)

interesting list.
Another site: http://www.newo17.com

I use onlywire.com to submit to several of these with just one click.

ā€¦ can this one be explained to me?

Great List -

Another I use is http://www.Tagza.com

Mixx.com is a very good alternative to Digg in my opinion. Getting much more popular recently as well.

Thanks for this list

Digg is my favorite social bookmarking site

Thank you for your list. Unfortunately, while I registered as a new member at http://www.blinklist.com, I canā€™t do anything more though it said it has sent me user + password to my email address. There is no email back from http://www.blinklist.com to my inbox. I just want to know if anybody experiences like me.

Add http://www.favouritebookmark.com/ in your list. It is a new bookmark I have found.

Another lists here http://myseoblog.net/2008/02/26/7/

Hereā€™s 2 more new social bookmarking websites :

http://www.favouritebookmark.com/
http://www.brightsapphire.com/

yes but which of these social bookmarks are the most SEO-friendly?

I hate ā€œno-followsā€.

And even Slashdot is adding no-follow to user homepages - like for some but not for others.

Annoyed the hell out of me.
