I added my location within my Preferences and Saved it but it seems that it does not stick.
Just curious if that is a bug.

We’ve known about it for a while, and poor @orodio has been trying to track down whatever is causing it, but thus far without success. (I add my location back in every so often, just for fun - to see how long it lasts.)

I added my location back and it has now disappeared again. That was quick. I can’t imagine why the preferences area would be reviewed that many times for resetting. I certainly don’t envy tracking down this snafu but I am glad there are other more qualified people than me looking into it. 
Yes, many of us have been homeless for quite a while now.
