I have Megento site & my site is little slow these day’s (speed), i think lot of load is there on site. so I requested to server then they replied me to remove htaccess file. But htaccess file is important right to redirect, to define rules etc…
So what i do please do tell me
Indeed, the .htaccess is responsible for handling the request the way it’s supposed to. Maybe you could speed up your site a little by optimizing the .htaccess file, but most likely not a whole lot.
Magento is notoriously slow though, and from what I understand there’s nothing much you can do to speed it up short from throwing more hardware at it, or installing a cache server like Varnish.
