I joined a MLM company that sells Online advertising.
Is it normal for a MLM Online advertising company to ask for Photo ID like your passport or Drivers License Photo ? Smells fishy to me. I haven’t submitted any Photo ID or spent any money with them. Am I being overly cautious ?
Providing confidential information to people that operate in an area of questionable ethical standards is never a wise move.
I can not see any reason they would need a photo - they are an online company and would probably never see you in person.
You could always send a photo of somebody else 
There’s no reason to supply a photo ID. I’d pass on this company and move on to a more reputable one.
