Hi there,

I think you’re looking for this: http://www.adipalaz.com/experiments/jquery/nested_accordion.html

Hope that helps.

Tanks for the reply that does look perfect but would it be hard to make it responsive - you see Im playing with a template here http://www.gibsonpixeldev.com/ubc4/ind.html mainly as a learning curve but Im not sure how to implement the right hand side menu here http://www.adipalaz.com/experiments/jquery/nested_accordion_demo.html#item1 the side column menu on the right but not sure how I would implement it here http://www.gibsonpixeldev.com/ubc4/ind.html

The right-hand-side menu you point to is nothing more than a bunch of nested <ul> elements.
You would make this menu responsive in the same way that you would make any other element responsive: when you determine that the viewport is below a certain width, resize the element accordingly.
You would probably want to hide it altogether for small screens (smart phones) and have a button/link “Show Navigation”

That’s all there is to it
