My Keyboard Cant Do The Pipe Character

Hello From York…

Im wanting to seperate navigation items with the Pipe character but on my keyboard I get “¦”.

Now I could enter the Html Character Entity for | (This is annoying me I’m putting in the HTML Entity Code and its translating it into the solid pipe which looks like i’me capable of getting it via keystokes and answering my own question< but I cant get it on muy keyboard!)and get the desired outcome but will this cause any cross browser compatibility issues?
Why cant I get it on my keyboard?

I don’t know what’s wrong with your computer that you can’t type a |. The character entity is actually safer, no worries about using it.

hold down the Alt key, and on the numeric keypad, enter 124

it’s a wee app in windows called charmap

Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Character Map
