I'm looking for a book that covers MYSQL fundamentals but mainly has an emphasis on advanced techniques. I've been having troubles finding recent publications though.
The book I've found most interesting is High Performance MYSQL: Optimization, Backups, Replication and More.
It was published in June 2008. I'm wondering if there have been any major upgrades or changes to MYSQL since then, or if the book would still be a relevant learning resource?
Any other book suggestion would also be appreciated. Thanks!
Sure, it should still be relevant for the most part. I'm guessing it would be based on MySQL 5.1. Most of the basics haven't changed.
