Need To Clarify Backup Retention

Hey guys, I am setting a backup plan for a server and I need to clarify backup retention. If I select my backup interval as weekly and select my backup to run Sunday and Wednesday and my backup retention is Weekly and Monthly, does that mean my backups will be overwritten every month? This is in WHM.

Ah yes I remember now, I must select Weekly and monthly retention. That way it will keep backups of at least a month of weekly backups.

However, it really doesn’t say much:

I vote for the monthly overwrite (but would eliminate the weekly).
