In 2011 Google has given new life to SEO by announcing that good ranking will be awarded only to those sites that have quality contents and links from quality contents.
Huh, I thought they announced that in 1998.

As Ralph and Rudy have said, this is nothing new. All that’s happened over the last 12 years is that Google have got progressively smarter at figuring out which are the good sites and which are plagiaristic garbage. And long may that continue.
