Ive been getting notices (this has happened about 4 times) that there is a new reply to a thread i started (Anybody knowledgeable about shooting with 35mm film?) but when i go to the thread there are no new posts nor a link to a second page where there may be more posts.
can someone tell me why this is happening?
In that particular thread a post was made today, but it was removed by a moderator because it was a so-called fluff post.

No. As Guido has already said, the issue occurs when the post has been removed by a moderator for whatever reason. The e-mail notification is sent automatically when the post is made.
