Novels vs Movies

I like novels and short stories.What you think which one is better in both of them.

They’re different experiences I guess. Usually the standard “book is better than the movie” idea holds true.

Each represents a completely different experience so I rarely claim to like one better than the other. It’s sort of like asking “what do you like better: tasting or hearing?” I enjoy both movies and books of all kinds, but I find books give more capacity for an intellectual experience where movies remain more on the emotional level. But books definitely also elicit emotional reactions and movies also have intellectual attributes as well. That makes it difficult to compare the two.
