Push notification in Phonegap Android App

I have been asked to integrate Push notification in Phonegap Android App. can anyone explain how to add this feature in phonegap android app.Please do also explain the code written on server side from where I can trigger the notifications.

Please if you can send the sample code along with the code of server side.

Chris, This isn’t use for me…I am talking about thepush notifications that come from the server to your mobile like in whatsapp mobile app or any other mobile app that shows you imp messages that comes from server I am talking about that.

I thought we had an article on push notifications, but there are plenty of tutorials on the subject and the Cordova docs should help.
