nowhere are the media/assets for this exercise provided (no images, video file, or mp3 file…)
the images, video and mp3 are referred to in the markup, but I don’t see where you can actually obtain them…

Does it say anywhere that they are available? From the look of it, the tutorial presents example code. I guess the idea is that you would create those assets yourself. The point of the article is really how to work with the code.

also don’t get the point of that extra <li> with class “stretch”…

Basically, <li> stretch is used for <li> items to fit the width of <ul>.
