Real problem embedding youtube videos - help!

Hi,

whatever I try - making sure the Auto Embed is ticked, using [embed], plugins etc. - I just can’t seem to get youtube videos to play in a post.

Anyone had this problem before?

How did you overcome it?

Never had problem with this, but you can try Smart YouTube plugin http://www.prelovac.com/vladimir/wordpress-plugins/smart-youtube embedding a video with it is as simple as posting an URL to it on the blog.

Tried installing that plugin but still no joy … all that shows in the post is:

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYEDA3JcQqw

no sign of a video playing …
