my site currently even if i type www.mysite.com, it goes to site.com in the address bar.
i checked the dns zone in cpanel which has the www cname that points to site.com.
but still the site goes to non www.
what could be wrong.
no htaccess file found.
That looks like a DNS question. If you can view/edit the DNS settings for your domain, you can create another entry to allow the www'd version of your domain (a cPanel host would do this automatically - get a good host would be my recommendation). It would look just like the non-www'd entry but specify www.example.com. I'm not a DNS expert so I'll let someone else give the exact line for your domain.
deleting the www cname and creating a www A records that points to the mysite.com ip did the job. thank you for your support.
You're very welcome.
