I see the replies count is now as it should be

Do you think the getting some information about the thread when putting the mouse over the title will come soon?

I wouldnā€™t hold your breath.

There was a question asked about this on meta.discourse.org the other day, and the support for the idea was not exactly overwhelming:
https://meta.discourse.org/t/is-there-a-way-to-have-the-body-of-each-topic-displayed/27337?u=technobear

I think itā€™s unlikely we would/could do it here unless it became a core part of Discourse.

Yes, it has been asked for more than once.

IIRC the answer was something like ā€œit would be too much because of the endless scrollingā€

Out of interest has anybody looked at the forum with ā€œView sourceā€ lately?

The code below appears 32 times:

<div class="top-crawler-links">
      <a href="http://www.sitepoint.com">Articles</a>
      <a href="https://learnable.com/topics/all/book">Books</a>
      <a href="https://learnable.com/topics/all/course">Courses</a>

With JavaScript and CSS disabled this is what Google gets.

dā€™oh! Thatā€™s surely not intendedā€¦

Sitepoint really just wants to push the articles, books, and courses.

Masters of SEO  .

While learning JavaScript one learns very quickly to not put an alert() inside of a loop.

But loop mistakes still can happen, even for the best of us.

Somebody should get some sort of badge for noticing that

I agree, we should have a badge for people who identify issues. Right now at least a dozen deserve badges from just this weekend alone!

What do you think @Jasmine @ralphm? Maybe a ā€œSP Quality Assuranceā€ Badge? We can manually assign them?
