I would like to know, what is the top rated screen casting software in the market? Paid or Freeware.

Camtasia Studio (it’s probably the most expensive too). I have been using it for many years now, and it’s just great.

Wink is a good free one http://www.debugmode.com/wink/ it’s what I used for my PS tuts

While I would also say that Camtasia Studio is the best (by a long shot), the below also seems to have a good following:
