My website is about to complete. It is a sort of knowledge imparting site.
What should i do to make it searchable by search engines.

This probably belongs under the SEO forum, more specifically things like sitemaps (.xml or .html or both) and robots.txts (to block out large amounts of any redundant data you have for your users so search engines only need to focus on unique stuff).
Unless you mean searchable by your own, internal search engine (like Lucene)?
