Sharepoint designer 2007 :help with calendar

hi,
I’ve got a website I’m developing in Sharepoint Designer 2007. I have a a spcalendarview control for my calendar. I can’t figure out how to display items that should be showing up when double-clicking on the days in the calendar. When I click on properties for the <sharepoint:spcalendarview> item, I see that I have DataMember, listName( which I set to a list I created),
datasourceID, displayitemformurl among other options. I have tried putting different things in each of the properties to no avail. How in the word do I set this up? Has anybody seen an example on this?

I don’t have the option of programming anything on the Sharepoint server, so I was hoping to be able to use the control in Sharepoint Designer.
