Simple Guestbook Code?

Did a search on the forums, hope I haven’t missed if this has already been posted.

I’m looking for a really, really, really simple guestbook for a client’s website (yes, I know that guestbooks are kind of outdated, but it’s what the client requested). I’m looking at Disqus, but thanks to my mad web-dev skillz, I have no idea how to use it (yeah, I’m really need to learn the basics…). I found this (http://www.gentlesource.com/comment-script/), has anyone used this code? (I also have like, paranoia, when it comes to viruses – I just don’t download anything).

Looks fine to me. Just keep in mind that you need to keep all scripts you install on your server updated, and sometimes when scripts stop being updated they can become a risk.

If you talking about a very easy guestbook why not build it yourself, instead of relying on another program. It’s just a matter of insert data in the database and output it accordingly. That can be done in 1 or 2 hours. Or do I see this wrong?
