You can consider registering the name of your company on social networking site because this is your trademark or other called it "branding". If you notice most especially on facebook we some of our friends and acquintances or even us are normally searching our favourite brands. Then, share it to twitter etc.
When, registering to social media you have to think the way consumers think because your "Username or Trademark- it is your best asset. But of course, it depend on what is your target market.

Both. Personal can have a link through to your business one. If someone knows you personally they will find you, if they know you via your business they're typically after you in that context and are likely to look for your business info on your personal profile to get there.
That means you are free to ignore work for your personal profile knowing that interested parties can still find it. And business profile can stay all things business-y.

Agreed for using both. You can use your business feed to broadcast news and things directly related to said business - and your personal accounts can be used for a combination of value added content from external sources, things related to your business, and other stuff you would otherwise normally post to a personal feed.
