Split column effect - How do they do it?

Buon Giorno from minus 2 degrees C wetherby UK :slight_smile:

I’d like to create a split column text effect as illustrated here http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc53/zymurgy_bucket/2-column-conundrumcopy.jpg within this site http://tutorial.davidclick.com/philpotts-clone.html

I have given it some thought for example I thought about the following as a fix:

  1. Wrapping the two sections of the split content within nested div tags and relatively positioning
  2. Wrapping the columns in span tags and well god knows :frowning:

So if any Sitepoint Member can give me a steer on a technique to achive I’d be very grateful.

Just create a div in that column, and two floated divs within it. :slight_smile:
