This was a popular theme that WP designers would use to strip their brand new WP off unusual markups and get a bare-bone theme that then can then build from the ground up, unfortunately this has been taken offline while they work on updating it, I was wondering if anyone knows something similar, as opposed to starting with the default theme, I’d like to have something to strip all the uneccesary markups.

Boilerplate is a development on the Starkers theme.

You can still get starkers theme on github, though it is html5 version, if you want an older version I can give you one as I still do prefer the transitional version, I havent quite gotten the hang of html5 yet
