Stupid question, but I gotta ask

I’ve been away from web designing for about a year now… and I don’t think there was ever a way to do this but can you cut out underlying layers?

I have a seamless background with one layer on top of it, now, I have smaller layers on top of that and I’m wanting the background to come through…

Stupid question, and I don’t think it can be done, but I gotta ask.

If you are talking about images here (with the layers) then no, CSS can’t do that

Yeah, I figured so. Oh well, worth asking. Thanks.

Glad to help :). You’re welcome.

There are no stupid questions. At least, not in code. Did you learn to design in Photoshop?

It strikes me that CSS transparency might be of interest to you.

agreed, no such thing as a stupid question
