The non-css3 stitching effect please

I have a client who wants a stitching effect as a border in their website coming soon page. The stitches effect should be as an image, because the majority of users who will be visiting the website, may be not using the latest browsers, and I have shown my client with the Photoshop generated effect, therefore it can’t be css3 generated stitching. Thanks in advance.

You’ll need to give us a screen shot to give you some help. Basically, you’ll have to cut the image up into bits so that the page can expand and contract. That could cause issues with the pattern at some points where the joins are, so it depends on the image how well this will work. The danger of showing clients a pretty Photoshop design before looking into the practicalities of web design is that you may get their hopes up too high.
