I have an application on which I’ve used some mysql triggers. The application runs smoothly, and I’ve got some speed improvements on model layer, but implementing triggers on UNIX machines is not trivial(to ask permissions to the system admin, to put him on work, bla, bla, ).
The thing is that I’ve read some of documentation of he cakephp framework. There are implemented the functionalities of the triggers in model methods: beforeSave, afterDelete.
Using such a logic is the only way to avoid the use of triggers?
