Transfer Outlook Express to Outlook 2010

My Outlook Express is corrupt and now i want to get some important information from it. Is ti possible?

[FONT=verdana]What information do you want to transfer? Messages? Contacts? Account settings? Attachments?

To transfer the messages, do the following from within Outlook:

  1. Go to File / Import and Export.
  2. Click Import Internet Mail and Addresses, and then click Next.
  3. Click Outlook Express.
  4. Tick “Import mail”.
  5. Follow the remaining prompts.

Note: I don’t have Outlook 2010. The above works in 2003. I assume it’s similar in 2010, although the actual wording might have changed.

If you want to transfer any other information, let us know what it is.

To transfer Outlook Express data files to Outlook, first you need to import DBX files into Windows Live Mail and then import from Windows Live Mail to Outlook using Import option. Detailed steps are given in - nalavadebela.wordpress.com/2014/03/22/how-to-convert-dbx-files-into-pst-format

As the OP asked the question well over a year ago and has never returned with further questions, I assume Mikl’s reply worked and it’s safe to close this thread.
