Transferring "Likes" to a new social bar?

I’m using a social sharing plugin on my wordpress web site. I have one page with 50 Facebook likes. I want to remove the social bar on this page and put a bigger Like button at the top of the page. My question is, will the number of likes stay the same? Or will I have to start over?

I found out that the likes are independent of the tool you’re using to track them. So it’s no problem to switch.

Yes, that should not be a problem. Switching to a new bar shouldn’t change the number of likes at all as I’m sure you’ve already found out.
