Transparent Images in IE6?

Hi,

Is there a way to get my .PNG files which have some transparent pixels to show in IE6? At the moment the transparent pixels are being rendered in an ugly colour, rather than being transparent as expected. All other browsers including IE7 above do not have this problem of course.

Is there a way around this at all?

Obviously like most designs there are rounded corner images in many places which must have transparency as the background behind the rounded corners may change at any time in order to maintain flexiblity. So not having transparency isn’t an option in this design, as is with most designs nowadays.

What is the best solution here and if there are any pitfalls please advise because I need to consider whether the solution is worth it or not seeing as IE6 doesn’t have that big a user base anyway.

Thanks.

i’m sure a simple “png ie6” search in the SP css forum will provide with more than you’ve asked for

the matter has been overly discussed here, you only have to choose a solution that is on your liking.
