can someone explain to me why i’m unable to create an animated gif using fireworks cs5?

I don’t mean to be unhelpful (although I apologize for being unhelpful), but I’m also having trouble doing this. I was working in Photoshop CS5, followed tutorials, but it wasn’t working. It was animating, but all layers were showing through (frame 2 had something that frame1 didn’t and it was showing through).
