I updated my wordpress site to the latest version and found that the index page is redirected to the last post made by user how do i over come this problem
please guide I am new here:confused:

and more importantly did you do a backup?
It sounds like the update may have reset your static front page settings.
In Wordpress, if you go to Settings >> Reading
There you can set any page you like to be your frontpage/“index page”
