User Uploads an Image and I want it Compressed and Stored on a CDN

Hi guys

I am just starting to work building a site where we would like users to be able to upload an image.

Once the image is uploaded, we would like to compress it and store it on our CDN. Examples of an image might be a users photo to use as an avatar or in their profile.

Does anyone have any experience of doing this that they can share knowledge or link to tutorials/articles on the process?

We will be using PHP.
