Does anybody have any experience using digg, and using a mirror site to avoid the “digg effect”?
If you have access to a mirror site that can handle the traffic your site can’t, why aren’t you using that as your real host?
You really shouldn’t have any problem with the couple thousand visits a Digg front page story generates unless you’re on a horridly configured shared host or your site is really poorly built. It looks like you’re using WordPress, so install a cache plugin, that should take care of any issues.
