Want competitor analysis tool

I want free competitor analysis tool
Any body have please share.

Free competitor analysis tool in terms of what? 1. traffic? 2. revenue? 3. target audience? 4. search engine rankings? ~~ 100. inbound links?

I am my own best analysis tool!

One of my first tasks as a .NET developer was to create a competitive keyword analysis tool that would allow a user to chuck in any keywords they see as relevant (was intended to use Analytics as a source) and for a specially built algorithm (nothing special, similar to what’s in the sticky thread on this forum) to go through these lists and create a list of potential keywords to target.

If I could build one for commercial use with no prior C# experience I’m sure that you can follow the competitive keyword analysis sticky thread at the top of this forum and build a viable one yourself.

Go For Web CEO its best for Search Engine Optimization and all the requirements of SEO.

I would advise you to try ‘Keyword Country’… It will give you details about your competitors backlinks, keywords, average SERP rankings and their PPc campaign.

Web analytics tool : That allow you to look up useful information about the sites. It include the website description, doamin ranking, syndication, social bookmark, indexpage, validation and more.

I have not contacted with free, no one can guarantee the reliability of results and you can’t require response from nobody.

traffic travis has a 60 day free trial that gives you a complete layout of your competitor.

I did’t seen good free competitor tool. You have to check manually. Find right business keywords and right unique competitors.

If you are using firefox browser, try to install seoquake plugin. It will tell you SEO statistic of any webpages opened, and also when you search on search engines. Last time I read it’s release a version for chrome browser also.

Seo quake is the best of all i personally recommend

What do you mean? How can I check competitors with Seoquake?

Hello merry,

The best competitor research ‘tool’ is a person who knows how to analyze the data properly. Having data for data’s sake is a waste of time.

If you want to learn how to analyze data about your competitors better visit Avinash Kaushik’s blog http://www.kaushik.net/avinash/, buy his two web analytics books and invest the time in becoming a better data analyst.

Having said that, here are some tools that I like to use that are either free or have free versions.

General Tools:

http://www.hitwise.com/ca/
http://www.compete.com/us/
http://www.alexa.com/
http://technorati.com/

These tools give general information about your competitors.

Finding Competitor Links:

http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/
https://www.majesticseo.com/reports
http://www.linkdetective.com/

With these tools you can find out how is linking to competitors, how their link profile is setup (do they have lots of spammy links?) etc.

Social Media

http://topsy.com/
http://www.socialmention.com/

With these tools you search for competitor names, their product names and general industry terms to see how they are viewed by people.

Other:

http://www.surveymonkey.com/

With a survey tool run a survey and ask people how they see you versus their competitors. You would need to learn how to create a proper survey.

The success a company will get with these tools is determined by the people using them, so you should invest most of your time in learning what to research and why.

Regards,
Greg

Thank you for your input everyone, but as the OP has not returned to the thread in six months, I doubt there’s much point in offering further advice.
