Do these things really work? They have an incredible Alexa Rank and seem to be legit. They say top companies use their product. Just wondering if they work and are worth it...
They work up to a point. They're good to automate part of the work, specially reports and all that. But for submitting your site to the majors engines, that's something that you have to do manually.
Having said that, this company may have the most incredible rank in the world but their landing page should explain from the very start what the software does, not at the bottom.
Nice point there, molona. There's a lot of info on their site that are below the fold, and most of those need to be seen once the page finishes loading without having to scroll down and all that.
By the way, I'd go for molona's advice as well. You should try doing it manually first. Automatic submissions may work, but there's some point in time that automation will suddenly "stop working."
This is part of the SEO Powersuite set of tools, and as you can download a free version perhaps the best thing would be to give it a try and see if it works for you. It isn't automated submission, the way it works is that you enter a keyword and it searches for potential link partners for you. A list is produced and from that you can select which ones the system will send an email to. A directory is created within your site for you to place reciprocal links.
As such I don't find it any use, but maybe there is some value in visiting the sites it suggests and seeing if you can get a one way link from them.
