I was reading a post today in which I found one thing that I want to confirm here. What does exactly happen When We ping a post. I am using Wp seo Yoast on my blog. This plugin gives a separate space for writing title that display in the Search engine results.Now my question is- While we ping a post, does it ping the title which is written in plugin or the one that the original post is containing?
Ping sends a request to an IP address and checks for a response. You send it TO other sites that are set up specifically to listen for pings to let them know that something on your site has changed.
It is equivalent to knocking on someone’s door to see if they answer or not.
