What is 3D technology?

what is 3D technology and what is animated technology these both are the same???

animated can either be 2D as 3D
3D is 3D only

3D would require 3D goggles\Hardware to view wouldn’t it?

Not if it is the newer version that does away with the goggles

3D or (Three Dimensional) Technology is a term used to recognize the output of computer generated 3D material or stuff.

As above, the animated technology also a term and it is a verb, though the animation is a noun and it refers to movement or motion of an object. Therefore, a computer generated animation could be an animated stuff or technology.

Hope I clarified your concerns.

By 3d do you mean like 3d designs and animations which you could create in a program like 3dsmax or cinema 4d and blender or like actual 3d designs and animations you would need g;asses to see and like bulevardi said above animation can be created in 3d programs such as the ones listed above or even 2d based programs like adobe after effects and pivot

Most of the web sites use 2D technology as video is not required for them. When we are using the video in the site D technology is required. It is used for movies or movie related site where cameras are used.It is used in Cameras and computer generated movies or animations.

3D, or “stereoscopy,” refers to how your eyes and brain create the impression of a third dimension. Human eyes are approximately 50 mm to 75 mm apart accordingly, each eye sees a slightly different part of the world…

There are largely two ways 3D has been achieved in motion pictures: anaglyph and polarized glasses.
Whereas animation is a totally a different term!!!

In 1838, Sir Charles Wheatstone first described the process of stereopsis: the process by which humans perceive three dimensions from two highly similar, overlaid images. Or, the process by which Avatar looks like a mind-blowingly immersive alien landscape instead of a bunch of brightly colored fuzz.

3D technology has come a long way since Wheatstone developed his stereoscope, then used to view static images and eventually pictures. Now we get to wear Wayfarer knock-offs and enjoy 3D films, television shows and video games.

holographic TV are to come soon probably within the next 5 years, if were are all still alive by then, never know, you can’t be too cocky in that arena.

In 3D you can watch Three Dimensional Image or view and In 2D you can watch Two Dimensional view …

There is additional hardware required such as the monitor, the specs to watch a 3D movie. I knew only these

We have two eyes for a reason and while we’ve enjoyed stereo sound since-like-forever, stereoscopic images haven’t quite arrived. At its core, 3D is as simple as using two cameras to capture the data that our eyes would, but it’s the display part that’s proven tricky. Ultimately, the technology has to find a way to present each eye with a different variation of an image, at that point our eyes and brain do the rest.

Animated is different if may be 2d also

But 3d is entirely Differnet

Animation is the rapid display of a sequence of images of 2-D or 3-D artwork or model positions in order to create an illusion of movement.

What technology are you talking about ? AFAIK there is no viable replacement available yet .
