what is 3D technology and what is animated technology these both are the same???
animated can either be 2D as 3D

3D or (Three Dimensional) Technology is a term used to recognize the output of computer generated 3D material or stuff.
As above, the animated technology also a term and it is a verb, though the animation is a noun and it refers to movement or motion of an object. Therefore, a computer generated animation could be an animated stuff or technology.

By 3d do you mean like 3d designs and animations which you could create in a program like 3dsmax or cinema 4d and blender or like actual 3d designs and animations you would need g;asses to see and like bulevardi said above animation can be created in 3d programs such as the ones listed above or even 2d based programs like adobe after effects and pivot

Animation is the rapid display of a sequence of images of 2-D or 3-D artwork or model positions in order to create an illusion of movement.
What technology are you talking about ? AFAIK there is no viable replacement available yet .
