What is keyword density and how much important as a seo point

what is keyword density? Can anyone tell me the right information about keyword density…

Keyword density just refers to how many times your keyword appears on a page, compared to the total number of words on that page. (If you’re interested, a quick Internet search will show you plenty of articles with more detailed information, like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keyword_density.)

You will sometimes find people claiming that your keyword density should be within a certain range and you should remember this while writing. Better advice, I think, is to concentrate on writing content that your audience will want to read. Use your keyword when it sounds natural to do so, but don’t overdo it.

Keyword Density = (Nkr / Tkn) x 100

Where: Density = your keyword density

Nkr = how many times you repeated a specific keyword

Tkn = total words in the analyzed text So

Keyword is the important factor in SEO. Also keyword density that directly refer to number of keywords appear on that page and divided by the total number of keywords on that page. To increase the influence of your content, it is important. Keyword density should be maximum between 2-3% on that page.

A Google source reference please.

I share with you SEO Hacker Blog, you can read form here in deeply:

There is no date on that article, but the comments are nearly four years old. An lot has changed in SEO in that time. I would be very dubious about following such old advice from anybody.

I do, however, agree with his conclusion:

Write for people because in the end, it’s people who will be reading what you have to say.

Which is exactly what I tried to say at the start of this discussion.

Yes, It is old but some things are not changed in SEO. Only methods and the way of using changed, nothing else. And for example, I mention about meta description.

Sorry, that means nothing to me. I asked for

Keyword density is a small part of on-page optimization and SEO ranking that refers your specific keyword is how many times repeated in the webpage.

For Example:

(Specific keyword repeated 15 times in the page / 1000 words content of your web page) X 100 = Keyword density 1.5%

Ideal keyword density for single word can be 1% to 3%.

Again, a Google source reference please.

i agree with @JKler keyword density must be 1 to 3% but better thing is that keep it upto 2% to get better results for optimization.

It’s fine that you agree, but is the information correct?
Again, a Google source reference please.

I suggest those who are still concerned about keyword density should watch the video on this page:

It’s from 2012, and in “mistake number 4” refers to the already outdated practice of looking for optimal keyword density, instead of concentrating on more productive tasks to improve your site for your visitors.

Many SEO experts consider the optimum keyword density to be 1 to 3 percent.

I think what @Mittineague is trying to establish is why this keeps being listed as the optimum density. What is the basis for it? Google gives no indication (that I can find) that there’s an “optimal” density; their advice is basically to stop thinking about the issue and concentrate on more productive areas.

So if there is a good, solid basis for believing that there’s an optimal keyword density, I’d also be interested in seeing what it is. If not from Google, then from Bing, Yahoo or a similar source.

It should be only 3-4% as SEO point of view, inserting same and more keywords into the content can harm the website.

Keyword density is the number of time a keyword is being used in an article or blog. higher percentage of keyword density is not good for SEO perspective as Google does not take it in positive way. It is understood as stuffing of keywords in article to woo search engine robots / spiders.

Keyword density (SEO) is the percentage (%) of times a keyword or key phrase appears on a web page in comparison with the total number of words on the page This MOZ article may help you and answer your all querry regarding Keyword density https://moz.com/beginners-guide-to-seo/keyword-research and http://www.hobo-web.co.uk/keyword-density-seo-myth/

Keyword density has now been defined several times, with various references, and the OP has not returned to the thread. There seems little point in continuing to go over the same ground.
