What is the Difference Between Gross CPM and Net CPM?

Hello:

I have been approached by an advertiser who asked if the
rates posted on the Web site were net or gross. I am
unsure of what this terminology means in banner dvertising
rates. When I tried to research this question, the only
thing I could find was that net had something to do with
advertising agencies. Speedy input appreciated!!

Many thanks.

Donna

CPM means cost per impression, some may define it as cost per impression per IP others will take it a bulk meaning all impressions are counted. Based on this I
assume the net refers to unique IPs and Gross to all impressions.

I completely agree with that, and i htink that because everyone interprits it diffrently i think that you should email your advertiser and ask him what it measn exacly.

Thank you so much for your response. I think it is true it is interpreted differently. As I mentioned, it is also explained in view of advertising agency fees.
