Where can I find job listings for freelance copywriting online?

I’ve found that CraigsList seems to be one of the only places where I can find the occasional freelance copywriting job posting. Does anyone know of any other good sites for finding freelance copywriting opportunities?

try www.freelancer.com

Really freelancer is a worldwide market place site. Some days ago I will try it. But now I take another decision. If I promote my own business on copywriting job then what should I need? would share something about it?

do u want to sell ur articles? or something else u planned…

Brukeferguson,

You could try elance.com. There you can fill out a profile and bid on jobs instead of waiting for people to contact you. Also, you could try putting a services ad out on craigslist. You might not get anyone to contact you but at least its free. And you never know, someone might take you up on it.

You could also develop a web presence as a freelance writer and try to network on sites like Google Plus or LinkedIn to acquire writing jobs.

Here is a pretty comprehensive list of things,

Hope that helps,

Shawn

[FONT=verdana]On-line services like freelancer.com can be quite useful. I’ve had some bits of work that way myself. If you are just starting out, it’s worth registering with them.

But, on the whole, I don’t find them all that satisfactory. It’s much better to deal with clients on a personal basis, and face to face if possible. From their point of view, the work you are doing is really important. You are promoting their products, helping them communicate with their customers, and enhancing their image in the media. You need a good relationship with the client based on mutual trust. I personally don’t think you can get that from an on-line agency.

And the best way to find the clients? Well, it comes down to the traditional routes like referrals, repeat business, social contacts, and simply telling everyone you know that you are in business. Having a decent website is pretty essential as well.

As with any type of freelance work, the key to getting jobs is social interaction.

Have you signed up to any local area small business forums? Try and make friends, and enter the community. With a little bit of time, jobs will hopefully, flood in the door!

you could do Google searches for it - add some different keywords to it such as “now hiring” + your area, “remote position”, etc.

Yeah, Freelancer and Odesk are great job sites when it comes to hiring anyone with a cheap price. On the other note, you can also consider some online job sites in the Philippines, you can find a few of them here http://biz30.timedoctor.com/comparison-of-job-sites-in-the-philippines/

Easily you can get more freelancing websites where you find job listing for your criteria based work.

I’ve found some of my best long-term clients at www.Guru.com. There’s a lot less competition there than on Elance. Fewer jobs are posted on Guru, but I find the quality to be higher.

i just came across this post, it is very helpful. ill be signing up on some of the above mentioned sites hope it goes well.

I’ve used elance on a number of occasions for content for my site.

are you looking for a job or looking for writers to hire?

Balancing content with search engine optimization is the tightrope all internet based copywriters must walk. You have to make your point in limited text but you also have to accommodate Search Engine Optimization by including useful keywords that will get you noticed by search engine algorithms.
