Which text is best? your opinions wanted

Hi,

so i’m half way through a build of our new site and people are starting to want changes some of which i don’t agree with.
This is the site
test.goodbeachguide.co.uk

What i’d like to know though which text you think is better for the opening. I won’t tell you which i like til later.

Do we repeat the site name like this

Good Beach Guide
Helping you make the most of the UK coast.

Or is this better without the site name

Explore the UK coast
find beaches and much more…

Which do you think says what the site is/does better.

thanks

Good Beach Guide
Availing you make the most of the UK coast

I am little changing your description. So say something

might be a little too clever for the average joe (i had to google ‘Availing’ and i have a M.Sc.)

thanks and as this points out there may be a better choice that is neither of the above

As somebody who might actually use that site, I like the first one better. Sums it up clearly and concisely.

There is something about the second one which sounds a bit odd and cumbersome to me, although I can’t really put my finger on why.

(And I think the use of “availing” is incorrect in that context, so I wouldn’t go with that, either.)

Same for me

“explore” and “find” though similar don’t really pair that well here
IMHO much better would be

Explore the UK coast
discover beaches and much more
