Xy.site.com or site.com/xy for Geo-Targeting

Hello,

The debate about xy.site.com or site.com/xy is pretty much clear by now. My question however is what practice you are preferring for Geo-targeting. I have a website whereby I want to dynamically serve, for now, sightly different content depending on the geographic location of the user.

For advanced Geo-targeting, I can tell that sub-domain is preferable than sub-directly.
Aside from this, I am planning to have multiple languages on the website, regardless of the geo-location. Ex us.site.com can have both Spanish and English language, and for this, I am planning to use:

  1. us.site.com/en
  2. us.site.com/es

I am more keen to use sub-domain, what about you?
