Z-index wmode and IE9

Having just upgraded to IE9 (full release version), we’ve noticed that the Flash wmode z-index fix doesn’t work in the browser when viewing in IE9 standards mode.

Behaviour appears to be the same as older versions of IE when the wmode attribute wasn’t provided (the element, a drop-down menu in this case, appears behind the Flash element).

Has anybody found a fix to this yet?

Many thanks.

Do you have a link to a page exhibiting the problem so we can test and see what’s going on?

I’ve just tested a flash element in IE9 and I can make it go above and below another element with no problem so there may be anther issue going on.

Thanks for testing. The facility is part of an application with restricted access so I can’t provide visibility, but in producing a version to demonstrate it, I too have managed to get the Flash below an element also.

It must be affected by something else. I’ll keep looking. thanks.

OK - No problem. If you find it is indeed an IE9 bug then please post back your findings here as it will help others and I like to keep a record of any new bugs anyway.
