Have we reached Smartphone saturation Point?

In my last newsletter I discussed the recent news that we may be reaching saturation point for mobile phone purchasing in the developed world. What are your thoughts?

Have we?
Does it matter?

The answer to both of those is NO.

What device people use to access the internet is now irrelevant so how many of them use smart phones to do so doesn’t matter.

I agree with @felgall. No, I don’t think we’ve necessarily hit the saturation point and no, I don’t think it matters.

Even if we did hit it, so be it. Why would it matter? Either way, Mobile has become a big part of the web development industry, so what I develop and how I develop, won’t change – it changed a while ago.

Great answers everyone… By posing the question I don’t necessarily agree, just starting discussions
