Help about active anchor style

Hello,

I need help about link active style. I have some company link in left panel. when i click a link company details information show right side of the link through calling javascript function. when details are shown at that time i want to style the link is activated or highlight which i have clicked .I have tried by using active property but it doesn’t work. How can i do this?

It’s not hard to do this, but it would help to see a live version of your page. How is your site built? Is it a static HTML/CSS site, or run by PHP, and do you use jQuery etc? Information like this helps us in suggesting one of various solutions.
