Hi there,
Last night I turned my Mac on after it had run the battery down, and it informed me that my clock was set to a time before 2008. Which was a bit odd, but I just ignored it and carried on with what I was doing.
Today, I try to connect to MySQL, and I get the error message: Can’t connect to local MySQL server through socket ‘/tmp/mysql.sock’ (2)
I’ve had a look on line and I’ve checked out a few different places where the .sock file might be (/var/tmp/mysql.sock, /tmp/mysql.sock/, /var/mysql/mysql.sock…) and not only can I not find the .sock file, I can’t even find the mysql folder! Obviously something’s been corrupted when the lappy ran out of juice.
What should I do?
Cheers,
Mike
