As some of you know I got into the hobby of rubiks cube solving a little while ago.
Small update on that. As of today, I have solved
7x7x7 <--(this baby was toughhhh)

Actually looking back at the video. I could achieve 55 seconds if I look ahead and see my options when I finish solving a section. I have moments in there where I just look.
Also, if I learned finger tricks (greatly improves speed) I could get an average of 50 seconds. That's about how fast my method is..I'm learning the fridrich method though so hopefully within a few months you will see my times jump down to 20 seconds

Right, computer was slow but you not !

Yeah I was explaining what I was doing, introduction, and I was having some trouble starting my inspection time counter..computer was slow

Is it a cubik with chicks ?

A few to go before you reach a 20 x 20 x 20 cube, which is the biggest cube that I've seen mentioned on the net

I'm just still delighted at now being able to do the 3x3x3 cube!! Can't imagine trying the larger ones.

7x7x7 is unreal to me...So 20x20x20 is really impossible to imagine, support or see...You need Einstein's brain for it

this is nothing, I do the 1x1x1 ...amatuers!

Show me the 1x1x1 please ! It must be great !

There is software where you can create cubes like 1000x1000x1000.
All cubes are solvable assuming you have some sort of algorithmic approach and you know how to fix the paritys.
You can do the 2x2x2 :P.

no no, its the 1x1x1 its a special Irish one, made just for me, cause im "that" good

I've spent too many hours on the 1x1x1. I finally peeled the color labels off and moved them back to normal. Would you believe I set it down for a minute and it's somehow messed up again. Gremlins.

Ryan, there is a variant that I saw which instead on color faces, each face has the numbers 1 to 9 and I think you just have to make sure that you don't have any duplicate numbers on any face.

Thats cool man. After some posts here I bought a 3x3.
I am only able to solve 1 side though, I can't get the rest.
mizwizzy — 2010-02-24T10:26:26-05:00 — #19
how did you know my secret :shifty:
ryanreese — 2010-02-24T10:55:16-05:00 — #20
It's just like a 3x3x3, except numbers not colors...I don't see a point in getting it lol
Solve a layer at a time, not a side.
If you go on youtube and look up Dan Brown, he is an excellent teacher :-).
